Name: [d5]-Ethylglucoronide, [d5]EtG, [d5]-Ethyl-beta-D-Glucoronide, (2S,3S,4S,5R,6R)-6-(ethoxy-d5)-3,4,5-trihydroxytetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-carboxylic acid
Ethyl glucuronide (EtG) is a metabolite of ethanol which is formed in the body by glucuronidation following exposure to ethanol, usually from drinking alcoholic beverages. It is used as a biomarker to test for ethanol use and to monitor alcohol abstinence.
[d5]-Ethyl glucuronide ([d5]-EtG) is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of EtG by LC or GC-mass spectrometry.
