Name: [d4]-Milrinone, 2-methyl-6-oxo-1,6-dihydro-[3,4′-bipyridine]-5-carbonitrile-2′,3′,5′,6′-d4
Milrinone is a medication used in patients who have heart failure. It is a phosphodiesterase 3 inhibitor that works to increase the heart’s contractility and decrease pulmonary vascular resistance. It is used particularly intravenously for the short-term management of severe heart failure. It is a positive inotropic cardiotonic agent with vasodilator properties. For longer term use, it becomes essential to monitor its plasma concentration owing to a narrow therapeutic range, an increased half‐life in renal failure and toxicity associated with high levels.
Stable isotope labeled Milrinone is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of Milrinone by LC or GC-mass spectrometry.
If the number, nature and/or location of stable isotope label atoms (D, 15N, 13C) in this molecule don’t fit with your application, don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your specific needs.
